Fidelity ADT Lions vs Toyota Cheetahs XV, Saturday 14 September, 14:30:
The Lions have been a spectacular revelation in this season’s competition, so much so, that they completed the league stage with nine victories from their 10 outings. Arguably their best performance of the season was convincingly beating the Cheetahs XV 38-21 in Bloemfontein, which made it clear that they meant business. The visitors have been up-and-down throughout their season, something that has come as a surprise considering their strong record in the Currie Cup in recent years. Realistically, I expect the Cheetahs to give up their crown as the reigning champions at Emirates Airlines Park, as the Lions are in irresistible form. A Lions win means that they will host the final, for good measure. (Lions by 12; O/U > +60)

Vodacom Bulls vs Hollywoodbets Sharks XV, Saturday 14 September, 17:00:
Hmmm… this one is quite tough to call taking into account what has transpired in recent weeks. The Bulls have suddenly hit a speed wobble after sailing through most of the season, costing themselves a home final should they win, and the Lions do the same against the Cheetahs XV. Conversely, the Sharks XV have peaked at just the right team, going unbeaten in their last seven matches, including a well-controlled victory over their hosts last weekend in a rain-soaked Durban. For the neutral, this poses a question: are the Bulls going to snap their two-match losing streak when it matters most, and will the Sharks XV drop a match on D-Day? Either way, this one is going to be a close encounter, and picking the winner is a tough one. (Bulls by 9; O/U > -50)
